Catalan artist Rosalía has officially announced her long-anticipated fourth studio album, LUX, set to arrive on November 7, 2025, via Columbia Records.
The Motomami creator unveiled LUX through an ambitious global campaign. Billboards lit up in New York’s Times Square and Madrid’s Gran Vía, teasing the album title and release date before Rosalía herself made a personal appearence in Plaza de Callao.
Early details suggest LUX will take Rosalía’s artistry in a bold new direction. The album reportedly features the London Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Daníel Bjarnason, and includes contributions from Björk, Yves Tumor, and Portuguese fado singer Carminho. This lineup hints at an expansive and genre-defying sound, blending orchestral textures with the avant-garde sensibility that has become Rosalía’s signature.
The title LUX—Latin for “light”—and the album’s accompanying imagery, which depicts Rosalía in ethereal white garments inspired by religious iconography, suggest a conceptual turn toward spirituality, rebirth, and transcendence.
LUX will be Rosalía’s first full-length release since her critically acclaimed 2022 album Motomami, a project that redefined global pop by blending flamenco, reggaetón, and avant-pop production. With LUX, Rosalía appears poised to expand her creative universe once again—bridging orchestral grandeur with her signature experimental edge.
As anticipation builds ahead of its November 7 release, fans and critics alike are watching closely to see how LUX continues Rosalía’s evolution from a boundary-pushing pop visionary to one of the most influential artists shaping contemporary music.
