Jay B is currently on his first solo U.S. tour, and we had the chance to attend the opening show in San Francisco.
For those unfamiliar, Jay B is the leader of GOT7. The group officially parted ways with JYP Entertainment in 2021. Since then, each of the seven members has signed with different agencies, yet they’ve reunited twice to release new music—first in 2022 with their self-titled EP GOT7, and again in 2025 with Winter Heptagon. While the Korean members are fulfilling their military service, the group has been focusing primarily on solo activities.
Jay B released his debut solo EP, SOMO:Fume, in 2021. In 2022, he released his second EP, Be Yourself, and set out on his Tape: Press Pause world tour, which went to Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Before enlisting in the South Korean military, he released one more project, a special album, Seasonal Hiatus. Soon after being discharged in November 2024, Jay B dropped his first full-length album, Archive 1: [Road Runner], and launched the [Tape: Reload] tour in Seoul that December.
The U.S. leg of the tour takes place from June 6, 2025, until June 13, 2025. He will then perform in Toronto, Canada, on June 15, and go to Latin America from July 12 to 17.
The San Francisco show took place at The Warfield on June 6. Tabber opened the night, and the concert lasted around two and a half hours. Tabber performed seven songs, while Jay B delivered a powerhouse set of 28 tracks.

Tabber was a great choice for an opener! We weren’t as familiar with his music before seeing him live, but we listened to a few of his songs before attending the show and really enjoyed seeing “007” and “Chi-Ka” live. His R&B vibes matched Jay B’s musical background really well. We became new fans by the end of his set and would love to see him live again.
We are so glad Jay B is touring in the U.S.! We have been fans of Jay B’s solo music since SOMO:Fume came out. We watched his fan meetings for that album online and wished for the opportunity to see those songs live one day. He played all but two songs from that EP and now has an even larger solo discography, so maybe it’s a good thing that he waited a bit longer to come play for us.

Jay B’s setlist for the [Tape: Reload] in the US tour includes songs from each of his solo releases as well as a few GOT7 songs. While he did mainly focus on his most recent EP, Archive 1: [Road Runner], we felt like there was a good mix of songs from his earlier works as well. Jay B mentioned that he was nervous since this was the first show of the tour, but after a few songs, we could barely tell.
He started with “Present,” “Baby,” and “B.T.W.”—a strong opening lineup showing the diversity of his music. “B.T.W.” is one of our favorite songs of his, and it was amazing live! He then transitioned into songs from his latest EP Archive 1: [Road Runner], performing all but two tracks. One standout performance was “The Way We Are,” which really brought the energy! From here on out, the audience was locked in—dancing, screaming, and having the time of their lives. It was finally time for Jay B to play his debut solo single, “Switch It Up”—the song that introduced many of us to his solo music. If you’ve seen the music video, you know why fans look forward to seeing this song live, and if you haven’t, go watch it after you finish reading this review.
After a few more songs, it was time for the encore—and what a party it was! Kicking things off with EDM remixes of fan favorites like “Take It Easy” and “Crash,” Jay B and his dancers were clearly having a blast—and so was the audience! At one point, the dancers playfully took a flag from the crowd featuring a shirtless Jay B, then teased him and tried to pull up his shirt. He finally gave in and lifted it, sending the crowd into a frenzy. It genuinely felt like we were all in a club together dancing and singing our favorite songs.
Jay B ended the night with five GOT7 songs. For many of fans, it was their first time hearing these songs live, and it was unreal. “Page” and “Thursday” stood out the most—hearing the entire audience scream “I think I love you” in unison during “Page” was a moment we won’t forget. There’s truly nothing like screaming your favorite lyrics alongside people who love the music just as much as you do. The entire show was incredible, but hearing the GOT7 songs live for the first time was easily one of our favorite parts.
Jay B owned the stage from start to finish. His setlist highlighted just how much he’s grown as a solo artist over the past four years. Watching him perform—especially his dancing—was mesmerizing. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for him and sincerely hope he returns soon—both as a solo artist and with GOT7.
