Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series Black Mirror returns to Netflix in 2025. The popular show’s seventh season will have six episodes in total, including a sequel to Season 4’s sci-fi adventure episode “USS Callister”.
The announcement was made at the Next on Netflix event in London.
Season 4 “USS Callister” draws inspiration from Star Trek: The Original Series, and follows Robert Daly (Jesse Plemons), a programmer and founder of an online game. Daly simulates a space adventure and forms his USS Callister crew members using his co-workers’ DNA to create digital replicas of them. After his newly hired colleague Nanette Cole (Cristin Milioti) is added to the simulation, she ends up encouraging the other crew members to revolt against their captain.
Regarding the sequel, Netflix teased ““Robert Daly is dead, but for the crew of the USS Callister, their problems are just beginning”.
